Sakana is the gem of Arvada. It's our go-to place for quality and artistically-prepared sushi. It's second best to Sushi Den in the area with only $$ yelp dollar sign. We recommend Sakana Roll, Tonkatsu Ramen with a seasoned egg, and Katsudon on the menu. But more often, hidden treasures await in the daily special menu hand-written on the chalk board. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Newest debut of a Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood. Brick & mortar decor with an exotic feel of 1970's Saigon. Casual dining atmosphere lends to thoughtfully-prepared dishes. I had a pho and the broth was superb -- made with notes of aromatic spices mixed with simmered beef bones. Nothing pungent, not bland, more on the light side. This is a chic place to dine out that surprisingly has a budget friendly menu. Closed on Mondays.

If you prefer Mexican food done in the authentic way, this family style restaurant would be exactly what you're looking for. Try their tortas, you won't be disappointed.

Lesser known and tucked between Asia Pacific Supermarket and bunch of other smaller shops in the mall, Silk Street is actually a decent place to go for Chinese food. Big portions, great taste, gentle on budget, way better than your average Chinese take-outs.

Craving award-winning brunch? Snooze would be a Coloradoan's go-to place. You might need to wait in line, but it'll be worthwhile.
