Bar/Restaurant. Good food...you can even get high tea here...but the real treat is the Whiskey selection. This is one of 4 bars owned in the Wellington region by an Irish lad (dermot). He has an amazing whiskey selection here...though he himself will probably be at his D4 bar in Wellington on these dates

Fish & chip takeaways - the best fish in walking distance, however I still think Golden King across the road does the better chips/hot dogs etc.

Drinks & Nightlife
This has a bar one side and a TAB/Sports bar the other. It's not too busy during the day, the sports bar side gets busier in the afternoon during the week and both sides are steady over the weekend. They will have all sports games showing.

Parks & Nature
A walk which goes from Raumati South right through to Paekakiriki. You can go along the beach (at the right tide), take the coastal track or the inland. Great on a good day. If you're all about balance in your life - I would recommend getting a cab to drop you off at the start of the track. Walk the track and then the street down to the Paekakariki Pub, have a couple of jugs and then catch the train back. Balance while on holiday is key.
