Yeah, the coffee's not amazing, but it's just so warm and cozy inside. If you're not a single-origin snob, you'll be just fine.

A brewpub and Boulder institution: burgers, hand-cut fries, amazing beer selection, super-friendly waitstaff (like, Trader Joe's friendly), and great for families or groups. Cash only, but there's an ATM in back.

Best-kept sushi secret in Boulder. Modeled on Tokyo's subway sake bars. One table and a small bar. Intimate and delish.

Decadent desserts, pastries so beautiful you won't want to take the first bite, and hand-churned ice cream. Okay, that's probably a lie, but it's seriously f—ing good. Remember: there's no calories in looking. Not that you came here just to look.

Parks & Nature

Think you're pretty fit, huh? Just wait till the locals go jogging by in their short shorts, barely breaking a sweat. Maps at the trailhead can show you the three different trails up Mt. Sanitas: steep, steeper, and steepest. It's only a couple miles to the summit, but good golly it feels like more than that. You'll suck wind, but the views from the top are worth it.

Hiking for days and days. The big kahuna is Mt. Green, which is about 3.5 miles and a couple thousand feet of climbing from the trailhead, but there are a million other shorter, mellower loops. Great for a morning jog or sunset stroll.

Yeah, it's not Whole Foods, but it's walking distance from the condo. Plus, you don't really need to blow six dollars on organic kumquats, do you? You can't buy alcohol in Colorado grocery stores—don't be fooled by the cooler of 3.2% beer!—so you'll need to go next door to Boulder Wine and Spirits for your Bacardi 151, you party animal.
