Liberation market is the functional grocery market - fruits, veg, boucheries, and several poisoneries, but it doesn't have artisinal shops for souveniers. Take the #23 bus to Liberation

This is the most famous place for gelato in Nice - it has all the basic flavors plus some funky things like avacado, and tomato et basil. Julie's favorite is vanilla with red pepper ;-)

We haven't been yet, but Yuzu's is a nearby sushi bar with Michelin recognition. It looks like mains were ~25-30EUR and on weeknights you may be able to get in without a reservation.

This is a beautiful walk / hike up to the chateau and waterfall for gorgeous views of Nice. It's not a difficult walk and there are plenty of places to stop along the way. A must for visiting Nice!
