Parks & Nature
Here is perfect if you like an easy (about flat level) walk on the ridge of a mountain, 1900 meters above sea level, wonderful views, sleep in a mountain hut on the shores of a lake and collect some blueberries. It's windy and if your children aren't cautious, it's better don't bring them. Need a medium offroad car to arrive to the top of mountain.

"Stretti di Giaredo" is a wonderful canyon, not famous yet. The water is cold and the sun is not shining into the canyon, so if you do not want to die for cold, remember to bring a diving suit, not as I did the last time :)

In 1788 was built a fort, the Forte Lorense, to defend the marble shipments. It was an important defense point against pirate raids and it was also used as a deposit for the marble that came from the Apuane mountains and was destined to be shipped out to sea. Thus, the area began to be known as Forte dei Marmi (The Fortress of Marbles).
