Essentials
Most normal needs can be met in town. Two grocery stores (one with organic foods but no meat, liquor or caffeine), the other with a decent selection of beer and wine. There are pharmacies, laundry (if you don't want to use the set in the house), hardware, dollar stores, etc. There are a couple bars downtown, one serves decent lunch and dinner, and there is a decent Chinese restaurant, along with several cafes that do a good job. Some local businesses, like the hardware and the organic grocery are closed on Saturday, as they are operated by Seventh Day Adventists, who are drawn to the community by Andrews University, which is in town.
