One of my favorite special treat restaurants ever. SMALL place, there can be a wait. If only a couple of you get a seat at the counter which can be quicker.

Although they can make the prices at Whole Foods look like super discounts, they always have the BEST produce and prepared foods ever. Very interesting selection of food, great wines and spirits. Some of the prepared foods are great to pick up and walk 1/2 block to Dolores Park to eat it while taking in the great view of the city from the top of the park. I lived around the corner from this store for 10 years, I miss the neighborhood which is also a lot sunnier than Diamond Heights.

Entertainment & Activities
Incredibly detailed and beautiful movie theater. Built in 1935 the organist plays some tunes before every movie. Great place to see a classic and some live events. I went to a Dionne Warwick concert there a couple of years ago. Check their schedule, it is very eclectic.
