Both of us have sensitive stomachs, and this place has yet to make us uneasy (except when we order spicier than we should, haha!) The lunch value is great; they deliver quick and are just down the street.
We've known owners and almost all the employees from the beginnings of Mar's, and love them all. Also a great place for oysters, drinks, and gluten free!

Chef Philippe of Bretagne (Brittany) makes crepes that cause there to be a line around the corner for this tiny place. This place is also amazing for steaks, wines.. anything. He's always so accommodating to Gloria's gluten problems, and obviously loves every dish he creates. Yes, he is in the kitchen. He makes everything, so don't go if you are in a hurry. He is best known for brunch crepes.

I'm not sure what to categorize this as, but if you have never had Burek, go hungry. It's basically a huge savory pie that our former-Yugoslav friends inhale in place of breakfast and lunch. It's also an awesome place to just feel the vibe from that part of the world :).

go hungry, and go with at least three people and order the platters (seafood, meats, and I feel like there was a veggie one as well). CASH ONLY. They claim reservations as well, but we never had a problem. Our Cypriot friends trek out here to eat their food.

I go on Sunday nights around 9pm to support my friend Broc, Sam, and Christian (jazz piano, bass, and drums). They bring in some great jazz talent from the young (just entering Juilliard's Jazz program) to the seasoned in the City.
