This is my absolute favorite coffeeshop. It's a converted train depot in NoHo and has excellent coffee, delicious healthy food and freshly made baked goods. It's across the street from the train station and has ample indoor and outdoor seating. If you go on Saturday there is a DJ spinning on the patio and breakfast food is 20% off!

Beautiful park at the end of Denny Ave. Jogging path that winds around the park as well as dog-friendly. Plus, there are food trucks that park along the edge during weekday lunch hours. Perfect for a picnic!

Drinks & Nightlife
The best jazz in the city every night! LA's oldest jazz club is within walking distance from my house. Go online to make reservations because sometimes they sell out. Cozy and lively crowd with amazing and HUGE baked potatoes. Bring your appetite for food and great music!

Take the Metro Red Line one stop from Universal to Hollywood/ Highland and explore Hollywood Blvd. All the stars on the sidewalk, Capitol Records, and the Kodak Theater where the Academy Awards are held every year. Funky and touristy but fun to see. Lots of street action with performers.
