Great coffee, very cozy atmosphere, excellent food. They source everything they can from their urban farm just a few blocks away and have chickens living behind the building that you can look at while you wait for your coffee! One of our favorite places. You will find us there often.

A fancy french bakery that will never let you down. If you get there early enough on Friday's you can enjoy "The Darkness" a chocolate croissant that will blow your mind! Even if you just go for a cup of coffee, you will love the beautiful setting and be in awe of the gorgeous handiwork. It almost feels like a bakery museum.

Union is open from Wed-Sun. They are a full service restaurant that also has a baked fresh daily bread counter, where they sell their bread by the whole or half loaf. I recommend any of their perfect breads! During the day, they serve Soups, Salads and Sandwiches. In the evening, they serve pizza. It is a very busy spot! If you get there at peak hours, prepare to wait a bit, but please don't let that deter you from their amazing eats.

Yaquis is a wonderful joint with an intimate neighborhood feel. You will often find us here on Monday evenings, eating pizza and enjoying their 1/2 price wine pours. You get a cool snapshot of the Cherokee Neighborhood. It is right in the middle and a great place to start if you want to keep exploring in either direction. Our latest favorite pizza creation is their House Smoked Chicken, Mushrooms and Red Onion made with Tinto Sauce. Sometimes you can catch some live music! They serve food until 1 am.

The Club Sandwich is one of legend! I know others who are partial to the Meatloaf Sandwich. Barry's menu is pretty small, but super quality and always expanding. You can buy bread baked from the brick oven in the back yard, cookies and sweets made in house, beer and wine is for purchase to stay and enjoy, or to take home. They serve brunch on the weekends and have brick fired pizzas on Saturday and Sunday starting around 2. A seriously delightful corner store.

Incredible Lebanese food. I suggest any one of their "sandwiches" and an order of fries. The Lebanese nachos are also killer. You can get them vegetarian or served with meat. This is a great option for meat eaters AND vegetarians to co-exist. ;-)

This beautiful and bustling place is our first pick for Ice Cream. They have all the bells and whistles! Sundaes, shakes, malts...boozy martinis! Our usual picks are a Standing Banana Split and/or a Johnny Rabbit Malt made with Zanzibar Chocolate AND a banana. Along with killer ice cream, you can also get an assortment of sandwiches, soups and entrees. We love the Dill Pickle Soup.

Big place, lots of seating, extremely family friendly! The wait can be quite long at peak hours, but you can get download the NoWait app and get in line without even walking in the door...you are then free to enjoy a coffee at the Gelateria or do some neighborhood walking/exploring until your wait is almost over. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Their breakfast is centered on crepes, but have many other options(little known fact, if you aren't feeling the crepe scene, you can turn any one of them into an omelette).
