The closest cafe and restaurant. It's very popular with the locals, especially after having a swim in next door Vesturbæjarlaug. The food is good but pricy.

The best pizza in town. They don't accept reservations, you just show up and the pizza's take only 3 minutes in the oven. My favourite is Umberto.

My favourite restaurant in Reykjavík. They have probably 200 things on their menu and every single dish I've tried has been amazing. Beware that the service there is not the best and sometimes it takes way to long to actually get the food. But when it gets there its all worth it.

Everyday the have lunch offers for 1500 isk of different curry dishes. It's very good and quick.

Down on the harbour where the fishermen come to eat. It's open 7 am until 4pm. I highly recommend "plokkfiskur" which is fish mixed with potatoes and cheese, baked in the oven. And for dessert one "pönnukaka með sykri". It has a great view over the harbour.

The only club in Iceland. I've never been and I understand there are mostly 20 year olds that party there so I don't really recommend it but since it's the only proper cluv I figured I would add it to the list.

Float over lava, swim between large volcanic canyons and discover the crystal clear waters that flow between the North American and Eurasian continents. I haven't done it myself but everyone who I know who have loved it.

On a clear day it's very popular for people in Reykjavík to hike up on Esjan. It's the mountain across the bay. The hike up takes about an hour and a half. It's steep but the view is amazing up there.

Take the Reykjavík Excursion flybus to BSÍ and then catch a taxi (around $17) to the apartment. Or take the Reykjavík Excursion flybus+ to Oddsson hostel and walk from there 5 minutes to the apartment.
