The river is enticing. The small calm beach is a delight. There is a delicious fish and chip shop at the Marina. Make sure you try the garlic prawns and the local mullet if seasonal.

It's so close, only a 15 minute walk through a sandy track. Enter from Ironbark Street which is opposite the Roadhouse Cafe on Bangalow Road.
Please note it is not patrolled - but great for a walk and a shallow splash. The tea tree creek is swimmable most of the year depending on rainfall

You can swim in the fresh tea tree lake and then walk just 15 metres and rinse with salt water on the beach right next door. Lennox also offers a little lagoon for snorkelling and whilst here visit the headland and lookout for the hangliders that are often seen taking off over the ocean.

A great but serious walk and climb. You won't be disappointed. The walk takes approx 4 hours minimum and not for the feint hearted. Take lots of water and proper shoes.

Entry is restricted but as a birdwatcher I have access and can escort two visitors. There is a proper bird hide and lagoon filled with lily pads and if you are lucky you will see a 'Jacana' or two. The paperbark swamp is reminiscent of the 'Everglades' in America. But no Gators here !
