i love this ice-cream. It is made on the premise and is areal artisan product. The flavours are strong and tasty. The portions are generous and at a reasonable price. The ice-cream is stored in metal containers with lids, so you can’t see the ice-cream, but the lids all have the name of the flavour on it.

walking inside the story since Gianicolo was the scenario of many historical battles in Rome.
Daily at noon, a cannon fires once from the Janiculum in the direction of the Tiber as a time signal. This tradition goes back to December 1847, when the cannon of the Castel Sant'Angelo gave the sign to the surrounding belltowers to start ringing at midday. In 1904, the ritual was transferred to the Janiculum and continued until 1939. On 21 April 1959, popular appeal convinced the Commune of Rome to resume the tradition after a twenty-year interruption.

The opening scene of the Italian Paolo Sorrentino-movie La Grande Bellezza (The film won Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, as well as the Golden Globe and the BAFTA award in the same category) is filmed at the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola. The American composer Charles T. Griffes wrote a character piece for piano entitled "The Fountains of Acqua Paola" as part of his Roman Sketches, Op. 7 (composed 1915-16). Griffes never visited Rome or Italy. Rather, the pieces in his collection were inspired by a collection of poems by William Sharp entitled Sospiri di Roma (1891).
