Great hike out to the Lanterns - 2-5hrs return. Take food and some water! Same route there as way back, so turn around when you get tired, the end is stunning though : )

Best fish and chips in Tassie (served from a trailer!), end of Blowhole Rd, open late Sept - late May until dusk daily. Good ice creams too!

If history is more your thing, Port Arthur convict settlement run amazing tours and is only 10km south of the house. Recommend the boat tour, and taking most of the day to explore. (Roughly $35)
