It's American comfort food with a twist. It's great for both dinner and for weekend brunch. If you come on the weekends be prepared to wait on the line outside for an hour. They're very popular for brunch. This restaurant is BYOB so feel free to stop at any convenience or liquor store and grab a drink that you fancy before stopping in.
Recommendations: Try the atomic fireballs, disco tots, or the Cap'n Crunch Chicken Fingers as a starter and whatever main dish calls to you.

Started off as a food truck and then eventually they opened up a restaurant. The popularity of halal food/carts has exploded in the past decade and this is by far the best one in my opinion. They also won a food truck award back in the day.

This is a short ride with a great view of parts of Midtown, Roosevelt Island and the Queensborough bridge. All at the cost of one subway ride. ($2.75). I suggest riding it two times (to Roosevelt Island and back) just to make sure you ride at least once when it's empty and you're going against the flow of people traffic.

Probably the most touristy place in all of New York but it's definitely worth seeing for yourself. I recommend going at night. The later the better (after 10pm). Time Square at night is better for two reasons. AVOID DURING DAYTIME HOURS. It's crowded and vendors are always trying to sell you something.
1. It's empty so you don't have to deal with the crowds.
2. It's way more impressive with all the lighting (it looks like daylight during night).

If I'm not mistaken this is the third oldest bar in the city. The menu is quick simple. They serve light beer and they serve dark beer. Those are your two options. McSorley's is pretty popular so expect a line at any time of day.
