Our closest beach. Also called "Amsterdam Beach". Be aware when you go swimming because the inward water flow can be strong.

Haarlem
Beautiful cosy, quiet city.
Durgerdam - More dutch you won't find.
(35 min bike, and a good condition is needed because of the typical Dutch counterwind on the dikes)
Bike to Central station - take the ferry to Buiksloterweg - Bike through Niewdammerdijk to Schellingwoude and from there follow the dike to Durgerdam.
If you still have energy left and its Saturday or Sunday... Bike to Holysloot ant take the little very E1,50 a person, you wil walk with your bike through 4 fields and pass some cow's as well (very cool experience). From there you can bike to Theetuin Het Einde, very cute tea/breackfast/lunch place. (takes around 35min to bike back to Central station if you take the shortest google maps road)

This is typical Dutch Snackbar.
Order a "Patatje met" (means fries with mayonaise) and a kroket (ragout snack, cow meat and mashed patato).
It's not healthy, it's LEKKER (delicious).
