I have been there a few times and still haven't seen everything! From the parking lot, you take a tram along the mountain to the museum, it has the best view of the city, places to lay on the grass, and best of all, it's free! You do have to pay for parking, $15, I think, but that's not even bad for what it is.

Venice Beach has everything and everybody! If you want diversity, basketball by the beach, skatepark on the beach, drum circle on sundays, any kind of food from cabo cantina (huge margaritas) to a stand with friend oreos. There is also shops and stands all over with local art, jewelery, weirdness, and you will most likely see the guy who skates around playing the electric guitar. He's been doing it so long he put his kids through college!

It's a very interesting museum. It's walking distance from the apartment, so if you have time, definitely check it out.
