They offer a 10 and 15euro pilgrim menu. Might be worth it to splurge for the "ensalada con queso y frutos secos" (salad with cheese and dried fruit and nuts). The cheese is from Fonfria and it's a nice break from the "ensalada mixta".

Mariano pours a beautiful cafe con leche and keeps a nice bar. Don't miss the (indoor) terrace down the stairs that overlooks the Rio Sarria.

Hotel A Veiga has great "comida casera" (homecooked food) and a pilgrims menu with almost too many options. But the dessert choice is easy... mousse de limon. It is fantastic!

Best croissants and chocolate croissants ("napolitanas") on the Camino. Get them fresh here. The bread is pretty awesome too! And they serve a variety of typical empanadas.

The Monastery is a place to put on the top of your list during your Camino. Tours are offered every hour on the half hour from 9:30 until 6:30 (excluding 2:30) and cost 3 euros. Tours are in Spanish and maybe English if there are enough English speakers. You can also attend Pilgrim Mass which is preceded by a short vesper service in Gregorian chant at 7:30 every evening.

Parks & Nature
The map might not pin it correctly, but just as the actual road (not Camino) leaves town across from the Monastery, cross the bridge and the street (opposite the Monastery) and go down the stairs following the sign that says "Malecon". Follow this beautiful riverwalk around until it crosses the bridge and directs you towards the Benadictine chapel that dates back to the 9th century. The walk is so peaceful and a great way to find some shade on a sunny afternoon.
