By far the best food in the city, in my opinion. Be prepared to pay for it, however. If price is no object, this is the place to dine fine. The Sunday bistro menu is especially good value.

Newly revamped restaurant and bar (formerly, Tango). Food prepared and served with care and attention to detail. I think it may become the place to be apres-theatre as well.

Good choice for hangover breakfast. The food isn't always consistent, but it's never unforgivable. I rarely stray from the Eggs Benny. The burgers are some of the best in town.

My vote for best sushi in Stratford. Get a sushi roll, miso soup and iced tea. Take it down to the river to enjoy with the swans.

Classic Stratford take out window for inventive and tasty soups and sandwiches. Oddly, it has moved to the corner of Erie and Ontario, but has retained its trademark name. Good for a picnic lunch.

I can't resist a quick glance through the bargain bin. I rarely leave without finding a good deal on a book I hadn't yet realised I needed to read.
