When it is cold the manatees come into the canal by DeSoto park in Satellite Beach. You can see one to over a hundred of them. Take A1A north to Desoto Parkway and turn left. Park in the lot just after the fall fields on your left. The canal is between the parking lot and the houses to the west.

Kayak or canoe in the river estuaries. We went on a day when it was too windy and rough so we took a boat across the river and back, seeing all sorts of birds and dolphins. Fun and interesting trip.
