A MUST SEE! 2.5 hour drive, but well worth it!!!! Start early to avoid thunderstorms raining you out. Amazing sand dunes are one of a kind. An absolutely stunning National Park that you cannot miss!!!

14er (14,000 foot peak) Mount Sherman is a high mountain summit in the Mosquito Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. If you plan to summit, you must research and leave very early in the morning to avoid thunderstorms and deadly lightening. Well worth it for the adventurous. Difficulty: Class 2
Exposure: Mild exposure very close to the route.
Trailhead: Fourmile Creek (45 min from cabin)
Start:12,000 feet
Summit:14,036 feet
Total Gain:2,100' starting at the 12,000-foot gate
2,850' starting near 11,250' (Leavick Site) on the road
3,100' starting at the normal winter closure near 11,100'

Boreas Pass RoadThis is a great beginner gravel touring road (biking) that climbs to the Continental Divide at Boreas Pass. Along the way, pass an historic water tank, a round house and other mining era vestiges, while connecting two iconic mountain towns.
You can start in the town of Como, and end at the winter trailhead above Breckenridge.
