Arts & Culture
Since going to Greentop circus I have caught the major circus bug! I regularly attend the Monday night trapeze classes, and Thursday night aerial skill share, Its so cheap and so much fun and the best workout you can get! For anyone looking for an adult gymnastic/acrobatic class, trust me, this really fills the gap! private class can be arranged if you are just coming for a few days and class for children

Now also on abbeydale Road keeping the charm of Kempkas Butcher which was established in 1938 and setting up there second welcomed shop labour of love for brother and sister Matthew and Melissa Holdsworth. It’s always been a family affair, as they grew up amidst a business run by their parents centred around honest, homemade food and always accompanied by aromas of cuisines from around the world. The staff today are like an extended family, brought together by the people at its heart who have been with the business since its beginnings.
Love and joy go into everything the close-knit team cook up, alongside fresh meat and vegetables sourced from the Moor Market. Traditional recipes are always at the core but enlivened with signature style and new trends. Each venue has been designed with enthusiasm, decorated with flair and splashed with colour to match the unique attention to detail that goes into the food, putting the stamp of quality and care on everything they do. The working kitchens look as inviting as the food they serve, so so indulged in freshly cooked delights from the delis, you’ll recognise the love of great food that always shines through.

Food and warmth really is like stepping back in time with its tiled, uneven floor and burning fires - together with a few local characters mingling with us tourists! There are decent beers on offer too. such as r a toffee-tasting pint of Lord Marples, locally brewed by Thornbridge. and the Belly porks a firm favrioute
There are no fancy-designed menus here, just a blackboard - remember them? - from which to order. Muddy boots are welcome so why not fit a walk around your meal Can be useful to ring and book 01629 640471 packhorselongstone.co.uk Its a family affair which is great to see i think the pub dates from 16th century

Pink and green interior at Public, a bar in Sheffield
A really humbling aspect of Public is that it brings together a plethora of local talent; handthrown ceramics (crockery and light fittings) by Grey Suit Clay, a vinyl player sits singing in the corner, provided by Bear Tree Records and all of the branding/identity comes from Totally Okay.
Now obviously it's a bar, and you're familiar with cocktails. These lot are a *little* different and use ingredients like truffle oil, fermented rhubarb, white cacao and fluffed orange, as well as some total spirit winners; Pedro Ximenez, Del Maguey mezcal, Tanqueray 10 and a Public own blend of Scotch. The menu Reading the menu (a hand-bound book thanks to Totally Okay) we're promised of references to Kendal Mint Cake, the hedgerows of the Peak District and a drink inspired by a dessert at Tommy Banks' Black Swan at Oldstead
