Awesome bar next to Zoo Tampa. It has one of our favorite outdoor seating areas and is a nice spot to pause for an adult beverage. They do not serve food but almost always have a food truck on site.

Parks & Nature
If you're looking to kayak down-stream in crystal clear water, while looking for Mantaee, this is the perfect spot. It's about a 45 minute drive from the apartment but one of our all-time favorite activities. And, if you pay for admission into the park itself, you can view the historic "Real Live Mermaid" shows. Kitschy, but certainly an experience you're not likely to find at home.

Our favorite beach spot! Fort DeSoto is located at the tip of Pinellas County. It consists of 3 miles of sandy beach, nature trails, bike trails, ample parking, and easy access to bathrooms and concessions. You can also rent Kayak's, bikes, and more if you want to explore the area in different ways.
While it may look farther than other beach options, the drive there has you mainly on the interstate so it ends up being about the same drive as the other Pinellas County Beaches. You'll pass through two tolls on your drive there and will need to pay a $5 admission fee to access the park.
