Exhibits include Prehispanic artifacts from indigenous civilizations inhabiting the region of San Blas, Nayarit from 2100 B.C. to the 1500s A.D. and the arrival of the Spaniards. Temporary exhibitions depict Huichol Culture, the Spanish Colonial era, the struggle for Mexican Independence, the Mexican Revolution and Post -Revolutionary era. The museum seeks to bridge indigenous civilizations to contemporary history of the Aticama and Matanchen Bay area.
