A great restaurant for a curry! Highly recommended and only about 10 minutes drive down the road. The early bird is great value :)

Dog friendly areas for the restaurant and bar. A friendly bar with a cosy fire plus the formal dining area. In the summer months the two or three outdoor seating areas are great for catching the sun with a cooling drink whatever the time of day!
The Farmers Boy

About 10/15 minutes walk from us this is a great local pub for eating and drinking (but not open for food every night so check opening times and info before going). Dog friendly areas for the restaurant and bar. A friendly bar with a cosy fire plus the formal dining area. We love a Maxis takeaway/delivery! Expect a queue on the phone when you dial in your order - they are busy because they are good! Free delivery on orders over about £7.00 (please check to be sure).
They will deliver to you here in the flat but mention that you are staying in the flat or they may deliver to us in the house.. and we might be tempted! Once you have ordered, just message us with the ETA of your curry and we will lock the gates open for them to safely deliver. All the curries are great but if you want an alternative to a traditional curry, we recommend the Chicken Boti on Naan with garlc mayo .. it’s delicious! The popadoms are amazing too. Recommended! We always tip the driver because they are the best!

This is a great local cafe that's almost on our doorstep.. just a few minutes walk away! We love it for a coffee and home made cake stop or a lunch that is enough to last the day! This super friendly and efficient cafe is top notch for home made food and customer service. The breakfast menu is fabulous as are the toasties, sandwiches and home made soups! My recommendation would be the tuna melt with salad and coleslaw or if you're there for breakfast or brunch then the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon is so good! Leave room for cake (if you can)!!

This super friendly and efficient cafe is top notch for home made food and customer service. The breakfast menu is fabulous as are the toasties, sandwiches and home made soups! My recommendation would be the tuna melt with salad and coleslaw or if you're there for breakfast or brunch then the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon is so good! Leave room for cake (if you can)!!

Great city for shopping, culture and eating out or nightlife! The train from Shepley takes you to Manchester via Huddersfield very quickly with excellent connections and speedy train across to either Piccadilly, Victoria or Oxford Road Stations in the City centre.

This is a superb little antique and gift shop in Slaithwaite which is in the Colne Valley, around a 6/7 mile drive cross country. Cobweb is one of many little quirky and cool shops in the village. On a fine day, this is a great little place to wander.. more bakeries and coffee shops along the canal side too!
