Cedar Creek Park, located in the southwest corner of Fairmont, is home to three fantastic, 18-hole disc golf courses: Cedar Creek EAST, Cedar Creek CENTRAL and Cedar Creek WEST. Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world with nearly 8,000 courses worldwide. It is played with similar rules to ball golf, but you play by throwing plastic golf discs, similar to Frisbees, and counting the number of throws from the tee to the basket. The first course in Fairmont was installed in 1996 and its use has grown every year. The WEST course was added in 2006, making Cedar Creek Park the only place in Minnesota with multiple courses together in the same complex. In the summer of 2018, the CENTRAL course was completed bringing the total hole count to fifty-four. This addition has made Cedar Creek Park one of the largest disc golf complexes in the United States, and the courses continue to be rated among the best in the state of Minnesota. Visit their website at and see lots more details about these courses. You can check out past and upcoming events, download scorecards with maps of each course and see photographs of the beautiful course layout.
