Great for their pork belly & egg sandwiches, this place is really awesome for breakfast. I recommend going early as it gets super busy on weekends.

This may just look like your everyday bodega/deli but they have amazing sandwiches and there's one that I particularly love called the "pho" sandwich. Layered with meat, beansprouts, oyster sauce, sriracha & cilantro, it is truly like eating a bowl of pho as a sandwich. They are open 24/7 for any late-night indulging.

Cute Japanese cafe not far from the apartment. They do onigiri (Japanese rice balls) and they have this incredible white chocolate matcha cookie that is to die for.

One of the best fried chicken spots in the city (the other contender in my opinion is Commodore in Williamsburg. It's cheap, quick and also next to a beer spot if you need a drink to wash it down.

Yes, it does live up to its hype! The hotboi pizza is my fave (jalepeno, Mike's hot honey, pepperoni and cheese) but they don't always have it but the classics are just as good. They also have Mike's hot honey as a condiment so you can sort of make your own hotboi.

This restaurant has multiple locations, including one in Soho, which is great for people watching if you get sat outside. It's an Australian restaurant so it has the everyday favourites – avocado toast, hamburgers, pasta and salads. It's also a great brunch spot but go early as it's always packed.

I'm not a huge burger fan but this burger is sooooo good. They also have an impossible burger for any vegans or vegetarians. Wait time can be super long but you can order online ahead of time and pick it up.

One of my favourite spots in all of NY. It's Greek and gets super busy on weekends so prepare to wait, although there's many great bars around the area to keep you occupied. They offer cheap carafes of wine and the food is consistently good. Off-menu tip: get the shrimp pasta but ask for the rosé sauce.

I was born in Hong Kong and whenever I'm feeling nostalgic, I go to Chinatown to hit up this Hong kong style cafe. They have a breakfast special before 11 AM.

Another great neighbourhood sake bar. The owner, Austin Powers (no joke), sources a lot of his sake directly from Japan. The descriptions he writes for the sake menu is just, *chef’s kiss*
