Neighbourhoods

There is a strip of shops down Unthank Road where you can find most things - restaurants, charity shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, pubs and bars. A really friendly bustling area just a 10 minute walk from Norwich city centre.

Buses and walking in Norwich, trains to the coast

Norwich is a small enough place that you can get everywhere walking without too much trouble. E.g. from the train station to my house is about a 35-40 minute walk. However, there is a useful bus service that runs along nearby Unthank Road and goes to the city centre, train station and university. If you want to explore the wider county, e.g. the Norfolk coast (which I would recommend) then train or car is best. By train you can get to Cromer or Sheringham quite easily and have a nice seaside day trip, or explore the peaceful Broads at Wroxham - only around £10 return.
