Closed Wednesdays, and seems that's the day I'm always in the mood to eat there! They have a great daily special, and lots of interesting things to look at while you wait for your meal.

Excellent Italian food, but also a great place for breakfast. Lots of menu options, but many people come for the breakfast buffet to sample a vast array of traditional Mexican breakfast items.

A favorite of expats. Great coffee and out of the ordinary menu. But also the source for (don't ask) DVD's of TV series and indie films that you can't get on Netflix in Mexico.

This is my favorite setting in San Miguel, the place we take first time guests to the city. It not only has great food (try the tamarind margaritas) but no one matches the atmosphere. Reasonable $'s.

I put this in here to show the general location of banks and financial houses in SMA. All along Calle San Francisco, and the Bancomer is just around the corner on Juarez. Banamex is near Starbucks.

Did I mention that San Miguel has great bakeries? And I haven't been able to find a link for the oldest and most traditional, the one with the blue door called La Colmena. It's on Relox.
