Once established for the shipping of agriculture export goods to England, later one of the biggest fishing ports with some 600 vessels, going across oil and gas in the north sea and nowadays the biggest export port for windmill it has some jung but fast changing history and welcomes you with its industrial charm.

The formerly water tower can be visited and you can enjoy the view from its top across the harbour and Fanø.
If clised you can archive a similar view from the parking deck of Broen shopping center or from the port administration building (200m north of the water tower, connected by rusty steel bridge)

we can fully recommend this museum especially for the kids but also for all ages. Feeding of the seals is usually at 11 and 1400, aquarium of local fish where you can also pet fishes in an open basin. Additional exhibition about fisheries and a changing exhibition. Quite impressive open air exhibition of maritime things and a play ground.
Take a seat in the restaurant (small budget) and enjoy one of Esbjergs nicest views
