The grounds of the park back onto the rear of our property so is an ideal location for a pleasant stroll or indeed for the children to burn off some energy.
It houses playing fields, a secure children’s park, brand new tennis courts, basketball court, skate park, bowling green, outdoor gym and splash park during the summertime.
The Old Library cafe there is perfect for coffee & cake to refuel and is open daily.
Main entrance is 100 yards left from our front door!
Follow the main tree lined path and take the first left, it’ll take you passed the skate park and through the car park, out of the gate pass the cafe on your right and make your way to the end of that small street until you reach the main road. From there you can see the rear of the Castle and walk right around the grounds and even stop off in town on your way around.
The park is open all year round during daylight hours.

Caerphilly Castle is a 2 minute walk from our property, it quite literally sits behind us! A visit to this mighty medieval fortress, the biggest in Wales and second only to Windsor in the UK, is an absolute must!
If you’re visiting in December, remember to book your ice skating slot at our winter wonderland too!
