You'll probably need to book, but it'll be worth it for the views and the cocktails! Dress to impress. Lovely walk back down the river to the apartment, if you're up for it after all the cocktails!

One of a number of pubs and bars in this area of Clapham, but one of my favourites for it's food options. Will be lively with a DJ at the weekends.

The iconic Battersea Power Station is currently under construction as the 4 chimneys are restored and the building is converted into luxury flats and an enormous shopping mall. Currently a building site, but an exciting development to watch develop as they are currently in the process of restoring the chimneys so they are not always all up!

The world-famous London Eye is within walking distance (or an quick train journey from Vauxhall to Waterloo if you're feeling less energetic). Be prepared to queue in the Summer months, unless you've booked. I recommend going at sunset for incredible views over Big Ben and the rest of London.

Shopping
Kings Road is a civilised and (relatively!) peaceful alternative to shopping on Oxford Street. With many of your high street favourites (Zara, H&M, John Lewis (known as Peter Jones in Sloane Square for some reason!), Jigsaw, Marks & Spencers etc.) mixed with high end brands. Work up to the prestigous Sloane Square in around an hour. And wander up to Harrods in about another 20 from there, if you really want to see how the other half live...
