This quaint little eatery serves elevated breakfast & brunch dishes (their french toast is worth the calories!) as well as brunchy cocktails.

This is our favorite non-taqueria Mexican place in town...and it's just a couple blocks away! The interior is fun and quirky; the staff are super friendly; the margaritas are strong; and the food is great.

Excellent, worker-owned bakery just a few blocks down. Every day they make a unique vegetarian pizza that they sell by the slice or whole pies. Delicious!

Probably the most famous bakery in the city - just a few blocks away! There is often a line, but the baked goods are truly great, and worth the wait...or just stop in whenever you walk by and there is no line - that's what we do. :)

Very, very nice grocery store. Some things are insanely expensive (and good) and others are priced very reasonably (and still good!). Shop wisely and you can be all set for a fun day in Dolores Park or out on the town.

A little known fact: within the de Young Museum of fine arts in Golden Gate Park, you can go to the top of the observation tower for free! It has great, panoramic views of the city and park. From there, you're right in the middle of many of the great attractions the park has to offer: the DeYoung, the Cal Academy of Sciences, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, etc, etc.
