Monument Circle is a nice place to take photos. You can go up into the Monument as well. Park a couple of blocks away on Meridian and it'll be a much nicer experience than trying to find parking on the circle.

Fountain Square is a great walkable neighborhood. There are tons of restaurants, shops, and bars. The historic building has Duckpin bowling on the top floor and a great rooftop bar. The Hifi is a great location for shows and the theater puts on different productions.
