Around the holidays, take the kids to see Santa in his real shop. This is right next to the beautiful courthouse and has a German cuckoo clock that is amusing to watch year round if you get here on the hour. Park right in front. Also, between Thanksgiving and Christmas there are free trolley train rides and usually hot chocolate . A great, cheap date with the kids!🎄

Downtown Midland on Main Street, also called The Commons, is a beautiful place and very pedestrian friendly. Most of my favorite restaurants are there, and there are candy, cookie, toy and clothing stores, boutiques, and don’t forget; COFFEE SHOPS!! There are open fireplaces with benches snuggled around, the Santa House, the beautiful courthouse, and flowers everywhere. It is a great place to meet up with friends, or hang out with the family.
