This is our "go to" Pizza place, with thin crust pizza. We've tried them all in the area...and we think that this is the best! They do other things besides pizza too.

Family Italian restaurant, with giant portions and delicious pasta. The garlic knots are a meal unto themselves. Just off the highway in Milford- easy in and easy out. Lots of local flavor!

Everything we have had here has been delicious. Not a shorts and T-shirt kind of place, but prices are reasonable, and the portions: large. The biggest Martini's around! Has a little bar as well with friendly bartenders. The restaurant is hidden behind a strip mall, so keep looking if you don't see it right away.

Steaks and steaks. VERY active local bar. A bit noisy for us, but a good steak nonetheless. Still in Trumbull, but closer to Monroe.

Mystic, CT is a lovely and historic piece of American history. Shopping, eating, boating, and an aquarium. It's a drive, but not an impossible one and very pretty going up the CT coast. You could always also take the train. It's a super great day trip, where Julia Roberts did her best work ever in the movie: "Mystic Pizza." And yes...Mystic Pizza does exist.

Who doesn't love PEZ candies?! Who knew it was just a stones throw from Trumbull. There is a tour and shop for all things Pez. Not something for a "day out", but a quick visit is fun.

Take the ferry in Bridgeport and sail across the sound to Port Jefferson in Long Island. The Hamptons are about an hour from there. If you haven't been, it's a beautiful part of the US. We like Sag Harbor for shopping and hanging out. East Hampton, and South Hampton have lovely main streets, with South Hampton housing the first department store in the US: Hildreths. Always look at parking signs so you don't get caught with a ticket. Some beaches are locals only- so look for signs. For those who want a longer drive- Montauk is at the very point of Long Island with an iconic lighthouse. It's where the sound meets the Atlantic

We sometimes sell at this Flea Market, which is LARGE! Anything and everything you ever (or never) needed will be here! A bit of a drive but well worth it. If you are a fan of "Flea Market Flip" they shoot here frequently. For $2 it's a nice day out. Food, drinks, etc. are available. (AWESOME chicken fingers!)
