Take a trip to Ål city center where you will find the climbing park “Høyt & Lavt” and Topcamp Hallingdal with playground, Minigolf, ice rink, cycle park and toboggan run. Here you will also find frisbee golf course, Ål cultural center, Ål cinema, Stavkyrkjemuseum (stave church museum), Rolf Nesch Museum and Ål Bygdemuseum (Village Museum).

There are several miles of cross-country skiing trails straight from the cabin.
From the cabin you have direct acces to Ål Ski Center. 2 minutes by car for pick-up at the slalom slope, or approx. 10 min. walk from the top of the alpine resort to the cabin for the fit ones! Ål Ski Center has 13 km of well-groomed slopes of varying difficulty. They are best known for the Svarteberg track, which is one of Norway's best giant slalom tracks and which the national alpine teams for both men and women have frequented. In addition, they have one of Hallingdal's best slopes for beginners and children, with a free lift in the children's area. There is a ski school, café and warming room.

The easiest way to get to the cabin is by car. It is also possible to go by train from Oslo or Bergen to Ål city center where you can rent a bike or take a taxi.
