Bondi to Bronte walk
The Bondi To Bronte walk connects three of Sydney's most popular beaches, Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte. It hugs the cliffs along a mostly level coastal cliff walk with spectacular views of the ocean and sandstone cliffs.
Regular buses to Bondi Beach depart from the bus stops along Oxford St. (Make sure the bus goes to the beach and doesn't terminate at Bondi Junction). The closest bus stop is across Oxford St from Taylor Square.
The walk starts at the south end of the beach and follows a well maintained trail but there are some steep stairs near Marks Park. The walk runs past all three beaches if you want to stop and swim. There are also change rooms at each beach. The Bondi to Bronte coastal walk is popular with locals and visitors for running along the coast and working out at some of the fitness stations along the way. The walk takes around an hour to get to Bronte. If you want to keep going, the walk doesn’t end at Bronte you can walk all the way to Botany Bay via Coogee and Maroubra. Buses do run to the city from Bronte, but they are not as regular.

Catch a train from Central Station to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. The train arrives at the end of a long street that runs past lots of cafes and shops. The famous view and lookout of the Three Sisters and the Megalong Valley from Sublime Point, can be reached by a longish walk, or buses or taxi. Search online for the best way for you. Further along the cliff top there is also the Scenic Railway, which takes you down into the rainforest and waterfalls, or you can walk down the steep stairs if you are fit.
The Blue Mountains are truly a unique landscape, which is not really found anywhere else in Australia.
This can be done as a long day trip if you are not going for a long bush walk.
