Great ambiance as this chalet was built in 1914 by James J Hill during the westward movement. The menu is pricey but its definitely worth at least a cocktail on the porch. Amtrak comes by about 8:30 pm and is greeted by the entire staff waving on the deck.

Polebridge is access to the North west boundary of the park where you can access many great trails, or just go to Bowman or Kintla Lake to hang out for the day. One of my favorite hikes from here is Numa Lookout. Pole bridge is a quaint and very unique two building town. Worth the drive for pastries in the morning or dinner in the evening. Early and late hours are good times to see wildlife.

This mercantile is a place to go when you need one or two items, but the prices are inflated and selection is low. However, if you just need to grab a sandwich and bag of chips on your way into the park, this will be the most efficient place to do so.
