Veruda is a typical old quarter where Pula's residents live. Quiet and close to the city center at the same time. Some of the buildings and villas in the quarter date from the Austro-Hungarian-Empire times.
In the immediate vicinity of the apartment in Zoranićeva street there are pizzerias, cafes, bakeries, fish market, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. The city bus stops are a 5-minute walk away - on Tomasinijeva Street. All lines passing through this street connect you with the center and/or old town on one side and numerous beaches on the other. Both are only few stops away!
1. Caffe Bar Ari - where locals meet (good coffee!), next to it: bus-stop towards old-town 2. Supermarket “Konzum”, fish market and bus-stop towards beaches 3. Parking, and underneath: fresh market, the best bakery „Nello“, butchers shop and more local coffee shops 4. Pharmacy, bank and drug-store, also Next-Bike rental station.

The street “Lungo Mare” goes all the way by the sea connecting the beaches 1 - 3 and is a wild rocky beach on its own. Here you can park your car along the way and also go down for a swim!
Further up the beaches continue: “Stoja”, “Galebove stjene” etc. (bus 4 & 6)
Further down is the peninsula “Verudela” with more beaches, Pula Aquarium etc. (Buses 2a & 3a)

Vodnjan is a small village near Pula famous for some of the worlds finest olive oils. There are a lot of olive oil producers in the village you can visit and sample their oil. One of the best that offers tours and sunset dinner in their olive gardens is "Brist". They also have a shop in the small village.
