The Swedish Kitchen
Surprisingly, there aren't that many Swedish restaurants around town. Swedish restauranteurs seem to be more into other countries. No surprise as we do like to travel quite a bit.
Anyway, there are a few places that really nail the Swedish kitchen, in my opinion.
This place has made a really fun and successful twist on traditional Swedish food by adding true flavors from the north of Sweden. You’ll find reindeer, moose, wild boar, Swedish cheese, and herring, to name a few, on the menu. Lingonberries of course and cloudberry mojitos (cloudberries are SO TASTY!), meadowsweet in drinks and so on. Truly the best of Sweden can be enjoyed here. Two locations — Vasastan and City.

This place is located in Odenplan and is a true classic in Stockholm. Here you can enjoy Swedish “husmanskost” which essentially means “home-cooked meal”. Potatoes, meatballs, herring. Very nice.

This is a classic beer hall that Stockholmers have been going to for ages. Their menu consists of a lot of meat and potatoes. They also have fish. Definitely not great for vegans but great interior! Might be closed for Summer vacation.
