There is usually live music and entertainment on holiday weekends and a waterpark along the foreshore for the little ones. Usually markets on weekends too. There is a free ocean fed pool if you like to do laps. Shops and cafes as well. A lovely relaxing place to spend a few hours or the day.

We have a very popular cycleway from here to The Entrance and even beyond for the cycling enthusiasts. Just ride as far as you feel comfortable with the kids or as far as you are able. Lovely ride along the lake with abundant and varied birdlife and a few small bridges. Very peaceful!
