Casual takeout with a few tables inside, but nothing beats sitting at the picnic tables outside with a gyros post float. Note: Tony's does not currently have a liquor licence.

Best place for coffee in Fairmont. They also have a killer banana bread, but get in there early as it almost always sells out.

Now, we haven't been to the boardwalk but friends tell us they do a great burger. Walking distance down the road from us inside the Mountain View Resort and Suites complex.

A hidden gem hidden in plain site. If you're looking for a game of golf that is, but the food here punches above its weight.

This may very well be the best pizza I've had in my life! Check online for opening hours, and if it's open, just go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Activities
Great place for a soak, or a swim (if you get there early; I'm talking lane swimming). We love the patio in the resort as well for wings and a beer at the end of the day.

One of the reasons we chose Fairmont was the Legacy trail on the west side of the river/ lake. This pin is for the northern end. The southern end of the trail is accessible from our suite. Just ride out to the resort entrance and turn right on the highway and continue on to Westside Road onto which you turn right. Cross the cattle guard and pretty soon you'll see the trail crossing the road, at which point you can jump on it and continue on to Invermere :)

I'm not sure you can visit Fairmont without doing the Hoodoo's hike. Fairly steep in places, but most people will reach the top in 20 minutes or so. Allow time to spend at the top though as the views are amazing.
