Rain, hail or shine it’s nice to get out for some fresh air and explore the beautiful north coast of the Highlands.
One of the many stunning sandy beaches that are peppered along the north coast. Strathy Bay changes so often depending on how the Strathy River is flowing. Explore the caves at the east side - always with care and please be mindful of tides. This is a also popular beach for surfing. Bring beach towels for your stay!

A short drive from The Old School - or a nice cycle on bikes. Park (respectfully) st a suitable place by the gate and meander along the single track toward the Lighthouse (privately owned). Approximately a 20 min walk from the gate. Take great care around cliff edges, which have steep drops. A wonderful place to watch wild waves and spot sea life.
