The Fort Myers Downtown Commercial District is a busy area home to many government buildings, including City Hall with its fountains, and rust-colored sculptures by Colombian artist Edgardo Carmona. Streets offer up performing arts theaters, martini and wine bars, nightclubs, and diverse eateries such as sidewalk cafes and pizzerias. The Franklin Shops have an eclectic array of goods, plus there’s a farmers' market.
