Dartmoor, what a beautiful and hostile place. I have walked ten tors which is a 45 mile 2 day hike on Dartmoor and are more than happy to offer advice on routes. However be warned the weather is fast changing and if you are not a decent navigator it can easy to get lost. There is however many well walked tracks which provide for an easy walk for children and dogs.

However be warned the weather is fast changing and if you are not a decent navigator it can easy to get lost. There is however many well walked tracks which provide for an easy walk for children and dogs.
Beautiful views and a nice walk with a beach that is great for paddling in. You can go up for an even closer look at the sea views but be warned this is a cliff edge so watch your children. It has close parking but is a bit of a drive from this location.

It is great for a short or long walk and offers the beach of Blacklands Lynmouth and the local shops.
A great place to walk. Lots of routes and parking places. A lot easier than Dartmoor and also links onto the coast path. Also has my personal favourite thing which is the wild Dartmoor ponies which are in herds.

We as a family have not been here much however it is a boat trip from Ilfracombe. On this trip it offers the opportunity to see seals, dolphins and other marine animals. The island also contains a population of puffins. There is a circular walk around Lundy which is said to be of moderate hardness.

a walk/cycle route. Goes from Braunton to Barnstaple to Instow to Bideford. Would recommend and is a great day out. Many places along the trail offer bike hire and many restaurants.

offers a figure of 8 walk. That is moderate, dog friendly and around 3 miles.
Really nice walk. Good for dogs and children. Has circular walks and can vary in distance. They have a cafe there as well as bathrooms and ice cream so boasts a good day out.
