Not to miss, the retro atmosphere of Café Charbon (1863), the mythical Nouveau Casino concert hall, and the rooftop terrace of the Perchoir Ménilmontant with panoramic views over the rooftops of Paris. Rue Oberkampf is also thronged with unusual places to see like the Cité du Figuier, Cité Griset, Cité de l'Industrie and Cité Durmar. Just a few steps from the Louvre and Palais-Royal, the Rue Sainte-Anne is a mini-Japanese district. It leads from Rue Saint-Augustin to Avenue de l'Opéra. This lively street has a great choice of Japanese restaurants and so is an ideal place to enjoy noodle soup (Ramen) or gyozas (tasty little meat and vegetable raviolis), or udon. This is also a good place to pick up Japanese or Korean products in the street’s grocery stores and shops. You’ll also find several Korean restaurants here.
