Another great place for a day trip - head just 15 minutes down the freeway to Encinitas (or better yet, take coast highway for a beautiful scenic drive!) to checkout the fun shops, cafes, coffee shops and more on Encinitas Blvd. Moonlight Beach is a great sandy beach for kids and even has a playground!
