Foynes is a 15 minute drive from here on the Shannon Estuary way. The town is famous for the flying boats that used to land regularly on Foynes. It is also famed as the birth place of the Irish Coffee! The museum is a real favourite with our family as our son loves to use the flight simulator. A real fun afternoon for all the family.
