Food scene

Our favorite in the village is Aunt Sue's Chalet. They are open every day of the week, usually from 9am- 5pm. They have excellent diner-style food for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. You can dine-in or pick up. They have a self-serve salad bar, and they make their own pies, which are AMAZING!

The Deli - A staple that just reopened under new management is The Deli (formerly Martin's Corner Deli). Closed on Mondays, but are open every other day from 9am-11am for breakfast, then 12pm-5pm for lunch/dinner. During the summer months, they may switch their day off to Tuesday. They have fantastic sandwiches - I recommend the Rueben.

The Woodlands Grill (formerly The Pinewoods Restaurant). They are in a state of flux recently, both with regard to days they are open as well as what's on the menu. You're better off giving them a call before committing. But any food we've had from here has been great, especially the unique burgers they create!

Duck Creek Ice Cave - 25 min away - Duck Creek Ice Cave is a small cavern that maintains a cool temperature that can sustain ice on portions of the cave floor all year round. There is a small Visitor Center near the entrance with more information. When you reach the Visitor Center, just continue down the road a short distance to the turnoff, there is a sign. From there, it is one mile of rough road to the parking area. The overall time to hike up to the cave, poke around, and return to the car is about half an hour.

1 hour 10 min away - For millions of years, a stream was cutting a path perpendicularly across the Parowan Ridge. Eventually the stream disappeared and the valley became a waterless wind gap. Continued erosion by wind and rain have shaped the gap into the pass seen today. The petroglyphs here are thought to be the work of several cultural groups and represent a long period of use by Native cultures. What the designs mean is still unknown.
